About
Marques was born and raised in San Diego, CA.
He attended Mt. Carmel High School where he played football and basketball. In his senior year, Marques received first team All-League and second team All-CIF in football as well as second team All-League in basketball.
When it was time for college, Marques attended Grossmont College to play football. In his sophomore year, he was named to the preseason All-American team and received a scholarship to Division II Henderson State University in Arkansas. In the first rebuilding year, the team went 3-8 and in his senior year, the team went 8-3. In his two seasons, Marques was the leading receiver on the team. Henderson is now a powerhouse in Division II football.
After college, Marques started coaching at Westview High School where he coached wide receivers. He helped coach the team to the playoffs and assisted players in getting to the next level (University of San Diego, University of Oklahoma).
Marques moved on to Mt. Carmel High School where he helped the team reach the playoffs every year, coming up short of a title in the CIF finals. He also helped coach athletes to scholarships to Universities (Gettysburg College DII, Weber State DIAA, San Diego State University DI, Georgia Tech DI, Eastern New Mexico).
In 2012, Marques received an invite to attend training camp with the New Orleans Saints. After being cut by the Saints, he received a call to join the San Diego Chargers as a member of the practice squad.
Since 2012, Marques has been learning from some of the best in the industry. Most notably, Fitness Quest 10 in San Diego where he also worked. He received his ACE personal training certificate in February of 2019. Also in 2019, received a Functional Fitness Certification through the teachings of Tom House.
Marques has coached professional baseball players and many professional football players.
